ND © The Central Bank of the Russian Federation issued a 100 rubles Olympic ticket next October, 100 days before the start of the XXII Winter Olympic Games that will take place in the Russian city of Sochi, as reported last 12 March the first vice president of the Bank, Georgy Luntovsky.

The blue tinted ticket represents on its back the Sochi Olympic stadium and a bird of fire.
The issue will have a circulation of 10 million tickets that will be put into circulation in Russia next October.
The first Olympic banknotes appeared in China for the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008. The Bird Nest stadium and an ancient statue that represented the discus thrower, the "Myron Disco", were stamped on a 10 yuan bill.
The Olympic Winter Games 2014, in its XXII edition, will be held from February 7 to 23, 2014, in Sochi, Russia, with some events to be held in the tourist city of Krasnaya Polyana. Ninety-eight events will be held in fifteen winter sports. Both the Olympic and Paralympic Games are organized by the Organizing Committee of Sochi (SOC).
Sochi was chosen as the host city on July 4, 2007, during the IOC Session in Guatemala City, defeating offers from Salzburg, Austria, and Pyeongchang, South Korea. The Sochi Olympic Games are the first for the Russian Federation, those held in 1980 as Summer Olympics in Moscow, are under the Soviet Union.
